Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born 16 March, 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. The comedian has appeared featured on QI along as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, better known by the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in the year 2011, following appearances in small parts on several Irish television shows and British shows since the year 2009. She began appearing frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms from 2012. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on different panel shows, where she has become a fixture. In 2016 and 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. She was the only female winner of So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, was a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Claiodhnadh, born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian died at age three. He was an equine veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death away until she turned 13. As a way to honor the man she loved, Bea chose the stage-name Bea and in 2017, published an article on suicides in the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea's mom Helen, who is also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for taking care of her as well as Sinead. They were both passionate about horses, race meetings and the racing industry. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the racing industry was not for her.
